Meaning

Points to people or animals of the wa class that are far from the speaker or already known, like English those.

Good to know

The far demonstrative of the wa class; its sisters are hawa (these) and hao (those just mentioned), and the singular is yule. Wale wale means the very same ones. Do not confuse it with wale, may they eat, from kula.

Examples

  • Wale ni wanafunzi wa darasa la saba.Those are the Standard Seven pupils.
  • Wale waliochelewa hawataruhusiwa kuingia.Those who came late will not be allowed in.
