Meaning

A natural gift or ability to do something well, such as singing, acting or sport, and also a person who has such a gift. In the Bible it is an ancient weight of silver, as in the parable of the talents.

Good to know

N class noun, the plural is also talanta: kukuza talanta, to develop talent. It means much the same as kipaji; talanta is especially common in Kenya.
