A long, broad knife used for cutting grass and bushes, splitting firewood and farm work; in news it is also a weapon in attacks.
Good to know
Ji/ma class noun, plural mapanga: panga hili, mapanga haya. In sports slang, panga la kuachwa is the axe that cuts players from a squad. The verb kupanga, to arrange, is a different word.
