Meaning

The small round fruit of a plant of the eggplant family, green, white or orange, with a bitter taste, cooked as a vegetable in stews.

Good to know

N class, the same in singular and plural. Also called ngogwe; the plant is mngogwe. It is not the ordinary tomato, nyanya.
