Meaning
A person who brings up and looks after a child, or who looks after and guides a group, such as the patron of a club.
Good to know
M/wa class noun: plural walezi. Mama mlezi is a foster mother or a nanny, and wazazi na walezi means parents and guardians. Malezi is upbringing.
