An arrangement to meet someone at an agreed time and place, or a promise to do something on a set date.

Good to know

Same form in the plural, with n class agreement: miadi yetu, miadi hiyo. Kuweka miadi is to make an appointment; kuvunja miadi is to break it. A rather formal word.
