Meaning
To be beaten or overpowered by something stronger or more numerous, such as a team outplayed or a person overwhelmed by work. Of a sick person, it means the condition gets worse.

The passive of kuzidi, to exceed, with its own uses: kuzidiwa na kazi, to be overwhelmed with work; mgonjwa alizidiwa usiku, the patient got worse in the night; kuzidiwa kete, to be outplayed.
