To move unsteadily from side to side, like a boat or a drunk person, and by extension for a person to waver in a decision or for an economy, team or health to become unstable.

Good to know

Used without an object: uchumi unayumba, the economy is unstable. Bila kuyumba means without wavering. To shake something is kuyumbisha.
