To drive someone or something away, or to dismiss someone from a job; to raise dust. Kutimua vumbi, to raise dust, is the sports phrase for a tournament starting, and kutimua mbio means to run off.

It takes an object: kutimua kocha, to sack the coach. The passive kutimuliwa, to be sacked, is very common in sports news. Kutimua vumbi means to kick off, of a league or a cup.
