To press against something to move it away; figuratively, to push a plan, an attack or one’s life forward.

Good to know

Takes its object directly: kusukuma gari, to push a car. Kusukuma gurudumu, to push the wheel, means to keep life going. The passive is kusukumwa, and msukumo is pressure or drive.
