Meaning

To say something with extra force so that people take it seriously, or to keep pressing a point or a demand.

Good to know

Often followed by kuwa or kwamba (alisisitiza kuwa) or by a noun (kusisitiza umuhimu wa elimu). The passive is kusisitizwa, to be stressed.
