Meaning
To lay the blame for something on a person or thing that did not cause it, or to give something as an excuse for one’s own failure.
Good to know
Takes what or whom is blamed as object: kumsingizia mtu, to blame someone falsely; kusingizia mvua, to use the rain as an excuse. Kusingiziwa is to be falsely accused.
