Meaning
To feel sorrow or pity about something that happened, and in formal speech to express regret or apology.
Good to know
Used alone or with kwa or kwamba: tunasikitika kwamba, we regret that. Nasikitika, I am sorry, is a polite formula in notices. To make someone sad is kusikitisha, and -a kusikitisha means sad.
