Meaning
To bring a case against someone before a court or an authority, or to report a wrong so that the person is made to answer for it.
Good to know
The person accused takes an object marker: kumshtaki mtu, to sue someone; the charge follows kwa: kwa wizi. The passive kushtakiwa, to be charged, is very common in court news.
