Meaning
To be required of someone or to be their duty. It is used with the subject i and an object for the person: inatupasa, we must; inampasa, he or she must.
Good to know
Almost always in the form i + object + pasa followed by a verb: inakupasa kusoma, you must study. Ipasavyo means as it should be, properly: fanya kazi ipasavyo.
