Meaning

To cut hair from the head, face or body with a razor or clippers, either to the skin or very short.

Good to know

Used with nywele (hair), ndevu (beard) or kipara (a shaved head): kunyoa kipara. A barber is kinyozi, and the passive kunyolewa means to have one's hair cut.
