Said of rain, snow or hail coming down from the sky; mvua is the subject: mvua inanyesha, it is raining.

Good to know

The subject is almost always mvua: mvua ilinyesha usiku kucha, it rained all night. Mvua za masika are the long rains and vuli the short rains.
