Meaning

Said of a liquid or loose grain that falls or runs out of its container, by accident or because the container is too full.

Good to know

The stative of kumwaga, to pour out, so the liquid is the subject: maji yamemwagika. The saying maji yakimwagika hayazoleki means what is done cannot be undone.
