To let a liquid or loose material flow out of a container, on purpose or by accident; kumwaga damu is to shed blood.

Takes its object directly: kumwaga maji, to pour out water. The passive is kumwagwa; the applied kumwagia is to pour on, and kumwagilia to water plants.
