Meaning

To join pieces of metal by heating them until they melt together, or to join wires with melted solder.

Good to know

The thing joined follows directly: kulehemu chuma, to weld iron. The welder is mlehemu or fundi wa kuchomelea; kuchomelea is the everyday word in Tanzania.
