To ask questions in order to challenge a decision or a claim, or, of police and reporters, to question a person to get information.

Good to know

Kuhoji is often followed by what is asked: alihoji kwa nini, he asked why. Kuhojiwa is to be questioned or interviewed, and mahojiano is an interview.
