Of two vehicles, people or objects, to crash into each other, as when a bus and a truck hit head on. Also used of players clashing during a game.

Good to know

Reciprocal of kugonga, to hit; the second party comes with na: gari liligongana na lori, the car collided with a truck. Kugongana uso kwa uso is a head-on collision.
