Meaning
To pass on knowledge or a skill to someone, as a teacher, trainer or parent does.
Good to know
It takes the learner as object: kuwafunza watoto, to teach the children. More common in Kenya; Tanzania mostly says kufundisha. Mafunzo, training, comes from it.
