Meaning

To fix something flat onto a surface, such as a poster on a wall, a stamp on an envelope or a sticker on a car. It is also used for posting names or results on a notice board.

Good to know

The place follows with kwenye or a locative: kubandika tangazo ukutani, to put a notice up on the wall. The passive is kubandikwa; the opposite is kubandua, to peel off.
