To give a disease to another person or animal, as by touch, breath, blood or sex; magonjwa ya kuambukiza are infectious diseases.
Good to know
The person infected takes an object marker: kumwambukiza mtu, to infect someone; the disease follows directly. The passive kuambukizwa is to be infected and maambukizi means infection.
