A serious infectious disease of cattle and other animals that can pass to people, for example by eating meat from an animal that died of it. An older dictionary sense is a glimmer or sparkle of light.

Ki/vi class noun, usually ugonjwa wa kimeta, anthrax disease. The sparkle sense survives in kimetameta, glitter.
