Meaning

Describes something done on the basis of ethnic group or descent. It is almost always found in mauaji ya kimbari, genocide, the killing of people because of their ethnic group.

Good to know

Used after a noun, from mbari, clan or lineage, with the ki of manner. Mauaji ya kimbari dhidi ya Watutsi, the genocide against the Tutsi; ubaguzi wa kimbari, ethnic or racial discrimination.
