Meaning
A small piece moved in board games such as bao or chess. Figuratively it is a move or card played in a contest, as in kutupa kete, to make one’s move.
Good to know
N class noun, plural also kete: kete za bao, bao pieces. Sports and political writers say kuzidiwa kete, to be outplayed. In drug news kete also means a small wrap of a drug.
