Meaning

At the middle point of a place, a group or a period of time, at an equal distance from the edges or the ends.

Good to know

Usually followed by ya or mwa: katikati ya mji, in the middle of town; katikati mwa uwanja, in the middle of the field. It can also stand alone: kaa katikati, sit in the middle.
