The large, grand residence of a king, queen, president or other ruler, and also a large castle.

Good to know

Ji/ma class noun in most uses, plural makasri: kasri la mfalme, the king's palace; kasri la kifalme, a royal palace. Ikulu is the usual word for a state house.
