Meaning

The money paid to a school for a pupil to study there, usually each term or each year. It is also used for fees paid for other kinds of training.

Good to know

N class, same form in the plural: karo za shule. Used with kulipa, to pay, and kulipia, to pay for someone: kuwalipia watoto karo. In Tanzania ada is the more usual word.
