A place where people stay together for a time, such as soldiers, refugees or a sports team preparing for a match, and also a group taking one side.

Good to know

The plural is the same word (kambi hizi). Kambi ya wakimbizi is a refugee camp, kambi ya jeshi a military base, and kuingia kambini is to go into camp. Kambi ya upinzani is the opposition camp.
