Meaning

Refers to the way or manner in which something is done or happens, like English 'how' in 'how he works'.

Good to know

Usually followed by a verb with -vyo-: jinsi anavyoimba, how he sings. Jinsi ya plus an infinitive means how to (jinsi ya kupika), and jinsi gani asks how.
