Meaning

Adds a statement that is true in the same way as the one before, like English likewise or in the same way.

Good to know

Usually starts a sentence or clause, followed by a comma: Halikadhalika, wakulima..., likewise, farmers... It means the same as vilevile and kadhalika, and is a little formal.
