A large bag of rough woven cloth or plastic used to carry and store produce such as maize, beans or charcoal, and the amount such a bag holds, used as a measure at markets.

Good to know

N class noun, the plural is also gunia: gunia la mahindi, a sack of maize; gunia tano, five sacks. Kununua mbuzi kwenye gunia, to buy a goat in a sack, means to buy without looking.
