Meaning
Describes something that is not what it claims to be, such as forged certificates, counterfeit goods, false news or a person pretending to be an official.
Good to know
An informal loan from English fake, placed after the noun and not changing for class: vyeti feki, fake certificates; askari feki, a fake police officer. Formal Swahili uses bandia or -a kughushi.
