Meaning
The adjective stem for things that weigh little, tasks that take little effort, and people who move or act quickly. It always carries the prefix of the noun it describes.
Good to know
Takes the class prefix: mtu mwepesi, a quick person; kazi nyepesi, easy work; mzigo mwepesi, a light load; kitu chepesi, a light thing. Wepesi is lightness or ease; the opposite is -zito, heavy.
