A tube that carries water, oil or gas from one place to another, and the tap at its end; maji ya bomba is tap water. In slang, bomba also means great, excellent.

Ji class noun, plural mabomba: bomba la maji, a water pipe; bomba la mafuta, an oil pipeline. As slang it does not change: sherehe ilikuwa bomba, the party was great.
