Meaning

The number 0, meaning nothing at all. It is also used for starting again from nothing: gutangira kuri zeru.

Good to know

A loan from French zéro, used as a noun: kuri zeru, at zero; munsi ya zeru, below zero. In football scores zero is said ubusa: igitego kimwe ku busa, one nil.
