To speak about one's own person or deeds, often with pride. In Rwandan tradition it is to recite a heroic poem about oneself.

Reflexive of kuvuga, to speak. Kwivuga ibigwi is to boast of one's exploits; warriors of old recited ibyivugo, heroic poems about themselves.
