To admit one's own wrongdoing, either by confessing it, as to a priest, or by going to the authorities to report oneself.

Good to know

Reflexive of kurega, to accuse. Kwirega kuri polisi is to turn oneself in to the police; in Catholic use kwirega ibyaha is to confess one's sins. The past is yireze.
