Meaning
To place someone solemnly in a high office, such as a king on the throne or a bishop or pastor in his church.
Good to know
The person installed is the object: kwimika umwami, to crown a king; kwimika musenyeri, to consecrate a bishop. The passive kwimikwa is to be enthroned, and umuhango wo kwimika is the installation ceremony.
