Meaning
To become king and rule, as when a new king succeeds to the throne, kwima ingoma. With a person as object it means to refuse someone something they ask for.
Good to know
Kwima ingoma, to take the throne: yimye ingoma, he became king. In the other sense the person comes first: yanyimye amazi, he refused me water.
