Meaning
To lose the use of part of the body, such as the legs or an arm, through illness or injury, so that it can no longer move or work.
Good to know
The part affected follows: kumugara amaguru, to be paralyzed in the legs; kumugara ingingo, paralysis of the limbs. A disabled person is umuntu wamugaye, and disability is ubumuga.
