Meaning
The number one with nouns of the iki and ibi class, as in igitego kimwe, one goal. On its own it also means the same or alike: ni kimwe, it is all the same.
Good to know
Other classes have their own form: umuntu umwe, inka imwe, ijambo rimwe. Kimwe na means just like, and kimwe cya kabiri is a half.
