Meaning

A traditional Rwandan instrument made of a long, shallow wooden trough with one string laced many times across it; the player sings softly while plucking it.

Good to know

The plural is also inanga. One says gucuranga inanga, to play the zither; the player is umucuranzi w'inanga, and a master player is called umukirigitananga.
