A sudden violent attack on people or a place, by an army, an armed group or criminals. It is also used for attacks on computer systems, igitero cy'ikoranabuhanga.
Good to know
Plural ibitero. The usual verb is kugaba igitero, to launch an attack: bagabye igitero ku kigo cya gisirikare, they attacked a military camp. Igitero cy'iterabwoba is a terrorist attack.
