Meaning

Said of an illness, a storm, a conflict or the cold that grows stronger or harsher, such as a crop disease that worsens in humid heat.

Good to know

Often with kurushaho, more and more: indwara irushaho gukara, the disease keeps getting worse. The perfect -kaze means fierce or harsh: intambara ikaze, a fierce war; urusenda rukaze, hot pepper.
