Meaning

Shows that people belong to me or are related to me, with plural nouns of the aba class: abana banjye, my children; inshuti zanjye is used for friends.

Good to know

It follows the noun and agrees with it: ababyeyi banjye, my parents; bagenzi banjye, my colleagues. With the initial a it means mine: abanjye, my people. Bange is an informal spelling.
