Meaning

The long tube in the belly that food passes through after the stomach, in people and animals. Amara y'inka, cow tripe, is also eaten as food.

Good to know

A ma class noun used in the plural. Indwara zo mu mara are bowel diseases. The same spelling is also the verb 'he or she spends (time)' from kumara: amara umwaka wose, he spends the whole year.
